The 40th International Emmy Awards took place Monday, November 19, 2012 at the New York Hilton.
During the Gala, the International Academy presented Emmys in nine
program categories as well four special awards. Glee Creator Ryan
Murphy, received the 2012 International Emmy Founders Award while
Korean Broadcasting System President & CEO, Dr. Kim In-Kyu, received the 2012 International Emmy Directorate Award. The International
Academy also presented Special Founders
Awards to two global television legends, actor/director Alan Alda and

The 39th International Emmy® Awards Gala took place November 21, 2011 at the New York Hilton. Winners spanned 6 countries: Chile (first time) Belgium, Canada, Portugal, Sweden and The United Kingdom.
Lady
Gaga surprised the audience of over 1,000 international entertainment
& media executives by opening the show and presenting The
International Emmy Founders Award to Nigel Lythgoe, the executive
producer of television juggernaut American Idol and the co-creator &
executive producer of So You Think You Can Dance.
The
International Emmy Directorate Award was presented to Subhash Chandra,
Chairman of India’s Zee TV by actress Archie Panjabi (The Good Wife) and
Citigroup Chairman Richard Parsons.
The 10 International Emmy Award Winning programs and performances are:

Malone Goes to Glyndebourne (Arts Programming), Benidorm Bastards
(Comedy), Life with Murder (Documentary), Con que Suenas (Children &
Young People), Lacos de Sangre (Telenovela), Millennium (TV

Entertainment), Accused (Drama Series), Julie Walters (Best Performance
by an Actress) and Christopher Eccleston (Best Performance by an Actor).
