Please remember that jurors are evaluating your project based solely on your presentation and
summary. The following criteria will provide guidelines for your presentation:
Your presentation should include:
• Descriptions and demonstrations/clips of
enhanced features
• Plot line of story
• Information about the different delivering
platforms (including the broadcast
television program, if applicable), how
the program can be accessed on each
and how they are related
• Voice-over narration
• Creative and technical objectives
Your presentation should avoid:
• Promotional material and marketing
statistics (including total number of
viewers or website hits)
• Long, uninterrupted clips from program
• Extensive plot explanations
• Full webisode(s)
• A length of under 00:03:00 or over
00:07:00
• Solely a walk-through of website

The
2012 International Emmy Awards competition opened on December 6,
2011. Deadline for submission was February 15, 2012. The 2012 International Emmy Awards Gala takes place in November in New York City.
Kids Categories
Entries into the kids competition will run concurrently with The
International Emmy Awards competition. Deadline for submission was February 15, 2012, as above. The inaugural awards ceremony is scheduled for February 2013 in
New York City.
Digital Categories
Currently, the Digital categories (Digital Program: Children &
Young People, Digital Program: Fiction, and Digital Program:
Non-Fiction) run on a different cycle to other award categories. Entry
periods vary each year. To check on competition entry times, click here. Entry deadline into the 2012 Digital Emmy Awards competition was November 3, 2011.

On December 5th, 2011, The International Academy
of Television Arts & Sciences launched The International Emmy® Kids
Awards, a new competition and stand-alone ceremony, solely dedicated to
recognizing excellence in children’s television programming produced
and initially aired outside of the United States.
Six new categories have been created for this event:

Kids: Preschool

Kids: Animation
-
Kids: Factual
-
Kids: Non-Scripted Entertainment
-
Kids: Series
-
Kids: TV Movie/Mini-Series
The inaugural awards ceremony is scheduled for February 2013 in
New York City. Entries into the kids competition will run concurrently
with The International Emmy Awards competition which opened December 6th
and closes February 15th, 2012.
