New York, October 2, 2013 - Nominations for the International Emmy® Kids Awards were announced today by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. There are 24 nominees in 6 categories. The full list of Nominees follows this release. Winners will receive their Emmys at the second International Emmy® Kids Awards, on February 10, 2014 in New York City.
Nominations span 14 countries: Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Sweden, South Korea, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. The International Emmy® Kids' competition has three rounds of judging over a period of 6 months.
"Our first International Emmy® Kids Awards was a great success last year, with over 300 children's television industry professionals in attendance." said Bruce L. Paisner, President & CEO of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. "The International Academy is pleased to have created these new awards for kids programming, which, like the other Emmy® ceremonies, are the premiere global platform for recognizing and promoting excellence in television."
The International Emmy® Kids Awards presenting partners are: Ernst & Young, Hasbro Studios, Shaw Rocket Fund, SVT/DRTV, TV Kids and WDR. The ceremony will take place at Pier 60 at Chelsea Piers.
