8 Nominees Span 7 Countries On 4 Continents
First time Nominations for News Coverage from India and Malaysia

NEW YORK, August 6, 2015 - The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences today announced the nominees for the 2015 News & Current Affairs categories. Winners will be announced in New York on September 28, at a Ceremony at David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center. The international winners will be recognized alongside their American news and documentary peers.
The 8 Nominees span 7 countries on 4 continents. The countries are: Brazil, Canada, Germany, India, Malaysia, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. This is the first time that India is nominated in the News category and Malaysia is nominated in the Current Affairs category.
"With an increasingly accelerated news cycle and competition for audiences on a global scale, the high-quality, reliable news coverage exemplified in our 2015 Nominees has never been more in demand." said Bruce L. Paisner, President & CEO of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
