New York, November 5, 2026 – The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced today that two-time Emmy® Nominee, Actor, Producer, and Director Michael Urie will host the International Emmy® Awards, on Monday, November 23, 2026, in New York City.

Urie stars in Apple TV’s award-winning comedy Shrinking, earning two consecutive Emmy® nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series and winning the 2025 Critics Choice Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. Beyond performing, Urie co-founded Pride Plays, an annual festival championing LGBTQIA+ voices in theatre. He has hosted Discovery+’s Clipped and four seasons of Logo’s Cocktails & Classics. His directing credits include the film He’s Way More Famous Than You, the short The Hyperglot, and the documentary Thank You For Judging, as well as stage productions Bright Colors and Bold Patterns and Silver Foxes.
