2016 International Emmy\u00ae Award Nominees Span 15 Countries<\/span><\/h1>\n

New York, September 26, 2016<\/strong> –\u00a0Nominations for the 2016 International Emmy\u00aeAwards were announced today by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. There are 40 Nominees across 10 categories and 15 countries. The full list of Nominees follows this release. Winners will be announced at a black-tie Ceremony on November 21, 2016 at the Hilton New York Hotel.<\/p>\n

Nominees come from:\u00a0Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, France, Germany, Japan, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates and the United States.<\/p>\n

“The International Emmy competition is the pinnacle for recognizing excellence in television around the world,” said Bruce L. Paisner,President and CEO of the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. “We congratulate the 2016 Nominees and welcome them to our global stage.”<\/p>\n

In addition to the presentation of the International Emmy\u00ae\u00a0Awards for programming and performances, the Academy will present two special awards.\u00a0Shonda Rhimes, the Writer, Executive Producer and Creator behind global hit series\u00a0Grey’s Anatomy,\u00a0Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder and The Catch\u00a0will receive the International Emmy Founders Award.\u00a0Maria R\u00f8rbye R\u00f8nn, the Chief Executive Officer & Director General of Danish Broadcasting Corporation, which pioneered and drove the success of\u00a0Nordic Noir\u00a0drama around the world will receive the International Emmy Directorate Award.<\/p>\n

This year’s Gala partners are: Phoenix Satellite Television, TV Globo, Dori Media Group, Ernst & Young, Deluxe, Miptv, Sofitel Hotels and\u00a0Variety.<\/p>\n
