1ST INTERNATIONAL EMMY@ KIDS AWARDS WINNERS FROM ARGENTINA, JAPAN, NORWAY & THE UNITED KINGDOM ANNOUNCED <\/b><\/h2>\n

NEW YORK, February 8, 2013 –<\/strong> The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced tonight the winners of the 1st International Emmy\u00ae Kids Awards. Winning programs from Argentina, Japan, Norway and the United Kingdom are: Junior High School Diaries: Harmony of Two<\/em>, (Kids: Series); Energy Survival<\/em>, (Kids: Non-Scripted Entertainment); El Jard\u00edn de Claril\u00fa<\/em>, (Kids: Pre-School); Newsround-My Autism and Me<\/em>, (Kids: Factual); The Amazing World of Gumball<\/em>, (Kids: Animation) and Lost Christmas<\/em>, (Kids: TV-Movie\/Mini-Series). \u201cWith this new event solely dedicated to kids programming, the International Academy is proud to be the premiere global platform for excellence in children\u2019s television,\u201d said Academy President & CEO Bruce L. Paisner. \u201cWe congratulate tonight\u2019s winners for their outstanding achievements.\u201d <\/p>\n

The Emmy\u00ae statues were presented on stage by a cast of presenters including: British actor and comedian Eddie Izzard; Canadian actress Vanessa Morgan; Transformer Rescue Bot, Heatwave; Swedish & Danish kids television hosts Ylva Hallen & Jakob Stegelmann; The New York City Children\u2019s Chorus; FDNY firefighter Daniel Glover and Australian Wiggles, Sam Moran. Over 300 international industry executives attended the inaugural event, held at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers, in New York City. The International Emmy\u00ae Kids Awards presenting partners are: Shaw Rocket Fund, Hasbro Studios, SVT\/DRTV, TV Kids and Ernst & Young.<\/p>\n
