JASON PRIESTLEY TO HOST 39TH INTERNATIONAL EMMY\u00ae AWARDS <\/span><\/h1>\n

PROGRAM REPLACES SHERLOCK WHICH WAS WITHDRAWN FROM COMPETITION<\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

\nNew York, October 7, 2011<\/strong> – Following the announcement of the 2011 International Emmy Award Nominees on Monday, October 3rd at Mipcom, The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced today the nomination of Accused (RSJ Films for BBC One, UK) in the Drama category. Accused replaces Sherlock which was withdrawn from the 2011 International Emmy Awards competition due to a rules violation. <\/p>\n

Sherlock had previously been entered by WGBH into the Primetime Emmy Awards in the United States, and according to both Academy’s rules, no program is allowed to be entered into two Emmy competitions in the same year.<\/p>\n
