New York, August 29, 2007<\/strong> \u2013 The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced today the nominees for the 2007 News and Current Affairs categories. Winners will be announced at a Ceremony at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers in New York City on September 24, 2007. The international winners will be honored alongside their American news and documentary counterparts. <\/p>\n This is the first time ever that programs from Romania and The Philippines are nominated for an International Emmy\u00ae Award and the first time ever that programs from Hong Kong and Russia are nominated in the news category.<\/p>\n \u201cThe 2007 nominees are testimony to the diversity of international television news organizations which now reach a high standard of excellence,\u201d said Bruce L.
