BLAIR UNDERWOOD TO PRESENT INTERNATIONAL EMMY\u00ae FOUNDERS AWARD<\/span><\/p>\n

New York, November 14, 2022<\/strong> – The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences today announced its host & presenter line-up for the 50th International\u00a0Emmy\u00ae Awards.<\/p>\n

Penn Jillette, half of the world-famous\u00a0Emmy\u00ae Award-winning magic duo and Las Vegas headliners Penn & Teller and solo TV & comedy personality, will host the 50th International\u00a0Emmy\u00ae Awards on Monday, November 21 in New York City, at the Hilton Hotel.<\/p>\n

Together since 1975, Penn & Teller\u2019s live show spent years on Broadway and is now the longest-running headliner show in Las Vegas. Penn\u2019s solo exposure ranges wide from\u00a0Howard Stern\u00a0to\u00a0Jimmy Fallon,\u00a0from\u00a0Oprah\u00a0to\u00a0Colbert,\u00a0to the Op-Ed pages of\u00a0The New York Times,\u00a0The Wall Street Journal, and the\u00a0Los Angeles Times. He has appeared on\u00a0Dancing with the Stars,\u00a0The Masked Singer, as a guest judge on\u00a0Britain\u2019s Got Talent,\u00a0Saturday Night\u00a0Live, and hosted the NBC game show\u00a0Identity. As part of Penn & Teller he has appeared on hundreds of shows, from\u00a0The Simpsons\u00a0and\u00a0Friends\u00a0to\u00a0Billions\u00a0and\u00a0Young Sheldon.\u00a0He recently co-wrote an episode of the Emmy\u00ae-winning Netflix series\u00a0Black Mirror.<\/p>\n

He also created and cohosted the controversial Showtime series\u00a0Penn & Teller: Bullshit!\u00a0which was nominated for thirteen Emmy\u00ae\u00a0Awards, won him a Writers Guild award and was the longest-running show in the history of the network. He currently co-hosts the CW Network hit competition series\u00a0Penn & Teller: Fool Us!\u00a0which was nominated for a 2017 Critics\u2019 Choice award. The series returned for a ninth season in October 2022.<\/p>\n

South Korean actor Song Joong-ki, will present the International Emmy\u00ae Directorate Award to Miky Lee, Vice Chairwoman, CJ Group.<\/p>\n

Blair Underwood will present the International Emmy\u00ae\u00a0Founders Award to director, writer and producer Ava DuVernay.<\/p>\n

Song Joong-ki and Blair Underwood will be joined by a cast of presenters including: Tom Cavanagh (The Flash), Melissa Roxburgh (Manifest), Roy Wood Jr. (The Daily Show), Jon Rudnitsky (The Big Leap), Sabrina Impacciatore (White Lotus\u00a0Season 2), Annet Mahendru (Manifest West), Ryan Eggold (New Amsterdam), Olympian Edwin Moses, Treat Williams (Chesapeake Shores), German Actress, Nilam Farooq and Brazilian Actress, Tais Araujo.<\/p>\n

The International Academy is following Covid-19 safety precautions for the International Emmy\u00ae Awards ceremony. All attendees will need to show proof of vaccination and a negative test to access the event.<\/p>\n
