2017 INTERNATIONAL EMMY® AWARDS NOMINEES FOR NEWS & CURRENT AFFAIRS ANNOUNCED

7 First Ever Emmy Nomination for Israel’s i24NEWS and First Current Affairs Nomination for Sweden’s SVT
 

 

New York, August 7, 2017 – The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences today announced the nominees for the 2017 News & Current Affairs categories. Winners will be announced in New York on October 5, at Jazz at Lincoln Center. The International Emmy winners will be recognized alongside their American news and documentary peers.

The 8 Nominees span 6 countries on 3 continents. The countries are: Brazil, Israel, Malaysia, the Philippines, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

Israeli network i24NEWS has garnered its first ever Emmy nomination in the News category for its French language coverage of the Republican National Convention. Swedish Public Broadcaster, SVT scored its first nomination in the Current Affairs category for an investigation into the Panama Papers. Additionally, Brazil’s TV Globo is nominated in both categories.

2018 INTERNATIONAL EMMY® KIDS AWARDS NOMINEES ANNOUNCED

Cannes/Mipcom, October 15, 2018 - Nominations for the International Emmy® Kids Awards were announced today by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences at a press conference at Mipcom. There are 28 nominees in 7 categories. The full list of Nominees follows this release.

Nominations span 13 countries: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, People's Republic of China, Singapore, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

"The geographic spread and wealth of topics addressed in this year's nominated programs attests to the vibrancy and quality of children's television throughout the world," said Bruce Paisner, President & CEO of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. "We congratulate the Nominees for their outstanding talent and for setting a high bar for young viewers worldwide."

International Emmy® Kids Awards at Miptv presenting partners are: Ernst & Young, Miptv and TV Kids.
