6TH INTERNATIONAL EMMY® KIDS AWARDS WINNERS ANNOUNCED

7 Winners Span 7 Winners Span 5 Countries: Canada, France, Germany, Norway & The United Kingdom 

Cannes/MIPTV, April 10, 2018- The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced tonight the winners of the 6th International Emmy® Kids Awards at a ceremony at MIPTV, in Cannes, in partnership with Reed MIDEM. 

Winning programs from Canada, France, Germany, Norway and the United Kingdom are: La Cabane à Histoires (The Treehouse Stories) (Kids: Preschool); Revolting Rhymes (Kids: Animation); Berlin und wir (Berlin and Us) (Kids: Factual); Snapshots (Kids: Non-Scripted Entertainment); Club der Roten Baender (Red Bracelets) (Kids: Series); Jenter (Young Girls) (Kids: Digital) and Hank Zipzer’s Christmas Catastrophe (Kids: TV Movie/Mini-Series). The Emmy® statues were presented on stage by an international cast of TV and digital personalities and character mascots including: Spanish YouTuber Rubén Doblas, El Rubius; Canadian stars of Hit Web Series Carmilla, Natasha Negovanlis and Elise Bauman; Québécois Actor and Rapper Emile Schneider; Egyptian Actress, Producer and Founder of the El Gouna Film Festival Bushra Rozza; Classical music group Ember Trio; German pre-school character Die Maus from WDR’s The Program with The Mouse co-presenting with Clarissa Da Silva from WDR’s kid’s series “Ah – I got it!” and Miss Supranational 2017 Jenny Kim from Korea. 

Industry executives from around the world attended the event, held at the Carlton Hotel, in Cannes, France during MIPTV.

Everything is told in real time and the viewers never know when the next post is coming. Every Friday, the films from the week are put together into a longer episode that can be watched on the web-player. Each season’s main character alternates between four girlfriends. This season’s main character, Ingrid, has her own user on Snapchat, and the audience can add her as a friend, follow her on Snap story, and sometimes get direct messages from her.
