8 NOMINEES SPAN 7 COUNTRIES ON 4 CONTINENTS
FIRST TIME NOMINATIONS FOR NEWS COVERAGE FROM INDIA AND MALAYSIA

NEW YORK, August 6, 2015 – The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences today announced the nominees for the 2015 News & Current Affairs categories. Winners will be announced in New York on September 28, at a Ceremony at David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center. The international winners will be recognized alongside their American news and documentary peers.
 
The 8 Nominees span 7 countries on 4 continents. The countries are: Brazil, Canada, Germany, India, Malaysia, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. This is the first time that India is nominated in the News category and Malaysia is nominated in the Current Affairs category.
