SPECIAL AWARDS PRESENTERS ANNOUNCED

ZACHARY QUINTO TO PRESENT J.J. ABRAMS WITH 2013 INTERNATIONAL EMMY® FOUNDERS AWARD

WORLD BOXING HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO TO PRESENT RTL GROUP CO-CEO ANKE SCHÄFERKORDT WITH 2013 INTERNATIONAL EMMY® DIRECTORATE AWARD
 

New York, November 14, 2013 – The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced today presenters for the 2013 Special Emmys that will be presented to J.J. Abrams and Anke Schäferkordt, at the International Emmy Awards Gala, on Monday November 25th, in New York City.
 
Stage and screen actor Zachary Quinto, who most recently, reprised his role as Spock in Star Trek Into Darkness and is currently starring on Broadway in The Glass Menagerie, will present the 2013 International Emmy Founders Award to J.J. Abrams at the International Emmy® Awards, on Monday, November 25 at the Hilton New York.
 
World boxing heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko will fly in from Germany to present RTL Group Co-Ceo Anke Schäferkordt with the 2013 International Emmy Directorate Award.
 
As previously announced, the annual celebration of excellence in international television will be hosted by writer/comedian John Oliver, who sat in this summer for John Stewart to host Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with John Stewart.
 
The International Emmy® Awards recognize excellence in television programming produced outside of the United States. 1,000 international entertainment decision-makers from over 50 countries attend the International Emmy® Awards Gala in New York every year.
